It is a profound insult to our veterans that the Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) for 2025 is a mere 2.5%. While our country allocates significant resources to accommodate newcomers, such as $500 hotel rooms, $1000 EBT cards, and healthcare covered by taxpayers, our veterans, who have sacrificed for this nation, are left with a COLA that fails to keep pace with current inflation. This discrepancy highlights a troubling disregard for those who have served. It’s unacceptable that those who have fought for our freedoms are not receiving the support they deserve, especially considering the rising costs of living. It’s time we prioritize our veterans and ensure they are adequately compensated for their service.
