No more REAL-LIFE locations in SnowRunner?!

As SnowRunner Phase 8 trundles towards its release date some time in October 2022, I take a look at news about what might be different for future DLC updates.

I wish they would start adding maps to existing regions. Give me a couple more maps in the Yukon, Wisconsin, and Michigan and I’ll be very happy

They could use for Ideas, the Badlands of the Dakotas. Some of the places the Oil Rigs are set up at are crazy. Also in recent events the destroyed roads through Death Valley.

Is love to see a Middle East inspired map

Or a Death Valley style desert

Maybe add an overheating mechanic to trucks on those maps bigger trucks with bigger engines will overheat faster

As well as older vehicles might overheat faster due to lack of technology

Could be a stat similar to power to weight ratio displayed in the garage as “overheat rate”

Should be interesting as to what direction the devs are going to take with this. Maybe they felt too "limited", so there could be more differences in one map without having to be too similar to real life.

I kinda understand why they don't want real map locations even if I think that they are overreacting, but removing a whole line of trucks? That would be just to much and I am glad it didn't happen

Why didn’t they just use some places that aren’t America or Russia like Australia or Europe, the United Kingdom, maybe even the poles

An Amazon rain forest(logging) or Africa(diamond mining) map would be sick

The Labyrinth would be an awesome place to have a map. The final job is to pick up the little baby and escape the labyrinth from David Bowie. (The labyrinth is the movie where David Bowie is the bad guy)

If there reson for not doing real life areas anymore is becouse of the madness there are easy ways around that dont require them going out there. Google earth exists and yes your not gonna get an exact picture but then again i very mutch doubt that the maps we already have are exact copys anyway. Snowy region, swampy region i mean do ppl actually care if the location really exist. All its good for is being able to market that this place is in that state or this country but as soon as ppl start playing its location dosent mean anything.

Or, alternatively, future maps could be set in any other country than Russia/USA. I know, SHOCKING.
