EcoFlow 400W Solar Panel Review: Powerful, Rugged, and Portable

preview_player
Показать описание
The EcoFlow 400W portable solar panel folds into four sections. The panel is surprisingly thin and floppy, making it somewhat cumbersome to set up. The carrying case serves as a kickstand, which works well once you get the hang of it. You'll appreciate that it's waterproof. If you already have an EcoFlow power station, this will pair exceptionally well. You can also charge other compatible batteries with this solar panel, but you might need adapters.

Pretty nice that Ecoflow used MC4 connectors on this solar panel. Which means I can connect and charge almost every other power station.

I have been looking around and you're right that Ecoflow is the only one selling 400W portable solar panels.

Great video. I popped for the full Monty Ecoflow delta pro 25.2kw kit with 2 dual fuel smart gens, 6 400w panels, voltage double and the smart home panel.

Thanks to your review, it did make a great impression for me. Not only do I like the 400W charging capability but also the portability and weight of this panels from Ecoflow.

Really enjoyed that professional overview. You got a sub. Im new to the concept of solar charging, looking for a small setup to avail of solar to charge some small domestic devices, phones etc.

the portability is the selling point but looks like maybe not the best option even when it is not bad, good review

These SP's are not supposed to be used for permanent solar arrays. Many who have tried them that way have said the degraded quickly. I believe they are only to be used in a way that they are not kept out in the elements in a prolonged manner. They also in my opinion need to be used in a way that does not alliw them to bend. So some 3xtra work is needed on your part if you are wanting to keep them in working order for a long time period. JMHO

Just received this portable array. After a quick and clumsy setup I connected a volt meter around 1pm southern Louisiana the array was producing 374W. I was impressed because I know my angle in relation to the sun was not optimal. I am just curious how long the internal connections will last with the folding/unfolding of the panels.

I think its almost perfect but I wish they had multiple kickstands on the back to adjust the angle like some of other solar panels out there instead of trying to make it work with the cover

Thank you what a great video just wondering if you might know the lifespan of those solar panels

It does look like that even the zippers are waterproof which is a good thing. I can carry it anytime and anywhere even if it is raining.

It's worth every penny because if you need to use a generator to charge it it saves you multiple days of fuel depending on fuel supply and unit size. U not having to hook up clean n start a gas generator for hours and when you do it's for only 2-3 hours if that

What happens if I charge a powerstation in that 400 watt panel which says maximum solar input = 100 watts

I can't believe you tried hooking up that little fantik power station and it didn't start smoking. It didn't look like there was a ton of sun out which was a blessing because the voltage of the panel is 48v.

Was really wanting this solar panel OR the 160w. The 160w is MUCH cheaper ($/watt) vs the 400w panel.. but, I've seen videos of the 160w panel doing around 130w. And videos of the 400w panel doing around 320w. I AM TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT THE BEST ALTERNATIVE IS OUTSIDE OF THE ECOFLOW PANELS. My dilemma with Ecoflow panels is this. If I go with the 160w panel, I'd get around 520w MAX even with 4 panels!. With the 400w panels, I could get around 640w MAX just with 2. While the 160w panels are smaller and more portable, there is a HUGE difference in input and I worry the 160w aren't enough, especially for the Delta Pro. So putting up with bigger, harder to carry and heavier panels may be worth the hassle for solar input.

i just brought a Delta2 and a 400 watt panel I was hoping you would show those connections in a bit more detail. Felt it was too technical. I will watch your video again.
