Join me for a little chat about a fascinating podcast!

Is it possible, 60-years later, to work through the evidence and narrow down suspects to the point where names can be named? Well, in this podcast, Rob Reiner has done so.

The assassination of JFK holds an abiding place in the heart of Americans, and more than 60 years later, the questions linger. This podcast by Rob Reiner, hosted by Soledad O'Brian focuses in on one question: Who Killed JFK? - and considers questions like:

* Who are the main players?
* Which facts can all sides agree on
* What evidence was withheld from the Warren Commission?
* Which testimonies were never even requested by the Warren Commission?
* Which pieces of evidence does he identify as giving greater color and meaning to the story?
* Why he does not believe Lee Harvey Oswald fired any shots on 11/22/1963,
* and, Who are the named assassins he believes carried out the JFK assassination?

Let's have one little chat about this 18-part podcast. Please add your insights and questions in the comments!

Let's discuss these questions together!

Hello Jess, I’m glad you’re giving a shout-out to Rob Reiner’s podcast on the jfk assassination, which as you know…I, too, really enjoyed and found to be a very comprehensive look at this tragic, historic and sad event.

I remember "duck and cover" and was facing the wrong way under the desk -- but I'm still here.

I have never believed Oswald was the lone assassin of JFK.To be honest I am not even sure if he was even involved at all..I watched an interview with the man that owned the funeral home that had Oswald's body and he said that late that night after he had already embalmed Oswald 3 men turned up stating they wanted to see the body..He said that they placed the gun in Oswald's hands in order to get his fingerprints on it .I know that sounds crazy but how else did they get his fingerprints? Please correct me if I am wrong but I have watched the interview a couple of times on YouTube..Yes, I will watch the podcast

Love Your Channel Jess. Gotta love any JFK video that focuses on Ruth Paine. She and Jack Ruby are the keys to understanding who killed JFK. Jack Ruby the "concerned" "Nightclub" owner just wanted to save Jackie the pain of coming back to Dallas for a trial. That was always the lead laugher for the WR. The man who was able to get by 75 Cops in a 10-second window and lunges from the crowd to shoot Oswald who is handcuffed to Jim Leavelle. (nowhere to run) and Leavelle is wearing a cream-colored Suit that he had never worn before. (easy to spot in a crowd of dark-jacketed men) The Conspiracy is obvious to everyone other than the Warren Commission and the two lead Apologists Bugliosi, and Posner. The Ruth Paine story is crazy. For me, the gun is the key. A Heidel buys the gun in March. (but mailed to Lee Oswald's Mail Box?) Supposedly shot General Walker in Early April and he moved back to New Orleans in April. Does he take the gun with him? On the Bus? Or did he leave it in Ruth Paine's garage? Or did Ruth pack it in her Station wagon when she drove Marina to join Oswald in New Orleans? Or did she pack it in her station wagon when she brought them back to Dallas? How could she not know that it existed? Is it believable that it was in her garage all those months and she was not aware of it?
The Paul Landis bullet is legit. It was corroborated by Nurse Phyliss Hall. Sadly he tried to attempt to make it into the Magic Bullet. That is not true at all. #399 was found in the hallway, not Trauma Room#1 And it, too is suspicious because the Orderly Tomlinson stated #399 was not the bullet he found, as his was "Pointed."

I'm interested in hearing the podcast. I've been delving into the JFK assassination for over 20 yrs. I do not believe the Warren Commission or the magic (single) bullet theory . But I'm always interested in opinions and theories. Did you ever notice the limo driver on that day, William Greer, looks back at Kennedy twice before he gets the car out of there ? I appreciate your channel and all the topics you cover.

I had listened to the series. Like you, I am fascinated by the assassination and want to retain information (as there's so much...from every direction!). I wrote down the names. Several months later, I saw the video by the death row inmate who claimed he was the grassy knoll shooter behind the fence. He is NOT one of Rob Reiner's names. But a few others keep coming up, and that tends to reinforce the likelihood. Particularly the planners, and the CIA operatives who managed Oswald. I won't spill them here, but it's all pretty convincing and seems consistent with a high level coup d'etat. (Johnson had to have known!)

This saga will never die. It is of the order of Macbeth and some of the Ancient Greek tragedies.
Not only was Kennedy charismatic, but young with a beautiful cultured wife and small children. His assassination was brutal, public, and clearly politically motivated. I think only now, and at this remove, do I grasp the depth of trauma to Jackie. Her marriage was
complicated, public, and subject to dissection, with no recourse to response. The politically motivated murder of a President remains an open wound. People are still analysing Lincoln’s departure.
Do I think Oswald did it? No. Patsys are ten a penny.

Oswald was seen in the lunchroom BEFORE the assassination by Book Depository employees and also seen in the Lunchroom AFTER the assassination by his supervisor and a policeman. It would be a miracle for him to casually eat lunch while the JFK motorcade was coming down the street, jump up at the exact moment to shoot JFK and then go back into the lunchroom. A REAL sniper would be sitting for hours in position waiting for the motorcade. Oswald skipped that part.

IMHO, all anyone needs to know about the JFK assassination can be found in “The Incredible Life and Mysterious Death of Dorothy Kilgallen.” Amazing read.

PS I guess it’s not REALLY everything you need to know…but it’s a veritable goldmine…

We do have some notes Captain Fritz of the DPD scribbled down…. According to them that’s how he rolled, there are no formal records, they had no stenographers, no tape recorders lol… bizarre

Marina Oswald Porter told Jesse Ventura in 2010 that she took the backyard photos. Ventura asked her why? She said she had no idea why. She said it was what Lee wanted her to do.

Ruth Paine spent months stalking the Oswalds by turning up to their rental house uninvited on multiple this cannot be explained in any normal fashion. She even drove LHO to New Orleans and insisted Marina live with her in her house. This is an intelligence handler doing their job and not an average Quaker lady. Father was CIA; sister was CIA and husband had the highest security clearance.

She also had a better job offer for LHO other than the Texas school book depositary but never mentioned it to him. She wrote the letter to the Russian Embassy claiming it came from him. She "found" the spy camera weeks in a duffle bag after the FBI/ DPD turned her garage upside down. She found some trinkets apparently proving LHO was in Mexico city ...days after the police had left. She also kept office files in her garage with the names of all the Castro sympathisers in Dallas listed out.

At every step in this assassination, Ruth Paine's fingerprints are literally everywhere.
