For crystalfly farming, I recommend people having Yaoyao or Sayu in the team, because their passive is very useful because you won't startle the crystalflies, and it's WAY less annoying this way.
I have a daily routine of around 40 crystalfies personally.

For Crystal Fly Farming, I recommend that you add the Thalatta Submarine Canyon underwater that is north east of the court of Fontaine. There's a nearby Teleport and their are 7 crystal Flies grouped up inside that small underwater cave.

I was foolishly hoarding the fragile resin since 1.0. Probably because I heard somewhere that I should hold on to them until I am AR45, this way I'll get the most out of them. AR45 came and went, and I sort of forgot about it. Now I'm sitting on like 150 of them. But hey, there's an upside. When I need boss materials I can just start popping those crescent moons willy nilly without a care in the world.

A few points to add on here,
1. I suggest everyone consider doing their exploration and quests to do it AFTER the 5.0 release because Hoyoverse said Long-term encounter points gets reset every .0 patch meaning whatever points you get now that you haven't used will be gone when Natlan comes but if you do it after 5.0 release, you can use those points to do your dailies when you don't have the time to play till it resets in 6.0
2. If you guys want, add the Dawn winery statue of seven to the list of getting crystal flies as well (use Sayu to have an easier time) as you can get 5 crystal flies near the statue without even going to the Dawn winery itself.

For the crystalflies, I have some more good spots, and I use Sayu on the team, it's a lot more convenient.

First go to the statue at the Dawn's domain. You've got 3 crystal flies there and can easily get 2.
Then 2 more nearby (one flying around a pillar and the other in a bush across the road) when heading towards the domain.
Then there is a plethora all over the winery's territory. At least 6.

Then there are some near the statue at Aaru village, some in the Laguna of Vanarana and some more around the tree of dreams.

i know a little underwater cave in fontain that spawns 6 crystal flies i just go there every day and grab them.

From datamining:
Mualani uses Lightless Mass from a whale boss and rest of materials are from new zone and bosses.
Kinich uses Denial and Judgment from knave boss and rest of materials are from new zone
Kachina is using Fading Candle from knave boss (same material as Arlecchino so you may lack it if you went for her) and rest of mats are from new zone -- also she is free.

Limited 5 star weapons Fang of the Mountain King and Surf’s Up use new materials, so only thing you can use here is if you saved up reshin moons.

There are also new BORDERLAND billets and you can use old ones with 2x Dream Solvent to convert them.

Only 4 star weapon worth crafting would be Footprint of the Rainbow as it scales with defense and Kachina also does. Ring of Yaxche is for Mualani as free to play option.

So yeah --- farming every weekly boss is a good idea right now to get Dream Solvent + if there is update to lvl 100 in future, there is a chance we gona needs those materials later.

Me 3 weeks to natlan, depleeded all my resources to level up 8 useless characters to 70 and 8 useless weapons to 90 and 16 useless talents to 6. Not to forget i decided for the first time since playing for 1 year to wish on the weapon banner and spend my saved up 45k gems…. Natlan here i come 😂

Great tips, Juice! Definitely farm xp books and money, you need those a lot. And while I won't 100% explore on day one, I will unlock as many waypoints as I can. It's a fun way to get the overall flavor of a region.

I may have missed it, but the crystal fly trap is a reward for unlocking Fontaine reputation level 3. It’s a game changer outside of just grabbing them when you see them. Another great location is the purple unicorn boss for clorinde teleport waypoint, or the waypoint by the chasm snake boss.

teleport waypoint near the dendro hypostatsis, behind you will get 3 crystal flies easily and another great location is almost between Abdjut pit (Land of lower setekh) and Valley of dahri (Land of upper setekh) there is a teleport waypoint where you can get 3 more flies, both the locations are in sumeru desert region. It takes less then 1 mins to get 6 flies.

My comment for the algorithm! Although I'm not a new player, it's still nice to be reminded to do things (weekly bosses lol) so thanks!
Also a bunch of tips for crystalflies; Get the crystalfly trap, it's a gadget, you get it as a fontaine reputation reward.
You can always find some near statues of the seven. if you scare them away, you can teleport away before they despawn, change the time, then teleport back, they'll be there; But sometimes they end up way higher than they should be, so you may have to wait a bit for them to float back down into catching range.
And have charas in your team that make them scare less (Yaoyao, Sayu) if possible, and charas that can make you go faster (i.e Rosaria's movement passive, Anemo resonance, Tall model charas).
Oh, and there are a handful of spots underwater (fontaine) where a whole bunch spawn! Mark them on your map if you'd like, they're alot more convenient than the SoS spots imo.

Edit: almost forgot to mention; the reason why Xianyun's E gets in the way of actually catching them, is because her E 'hits' things around you while you're in the air, so if you use her E to get within catching distance, its also in hit distance and itstantly K.Os.

There’s a little cave underwater at the waypoint in Thalatta Submarine Canyon in Fontaine with a ton of crystal flies, and a bunch of crystal flies are scattered around the grapevines in Dawn Winery and on the roof of the main residence of the winery as well.

my personal favourite spot for crystal fly farming is around the dawn winery, there's quite a few there and they're reasonably spread out by the fields so they don't all fly off the moment you grab just one.
