Irrelevant to the video, but I just wanted to say it’s really cool to see another brotha in tech. I’m a junior electrical and computer engineering student and I don’t see too many black folks passionate in this subject. Props to you man I hope to be in a similar position as you in a few years! ✊🏾

I’m a black comp sci student who left his career to go back to school for tech. You’re really inspirational man keep it up.

Hearing your story really motivates me! I had a similar rough start with CS, luckily I didn't let that hold me back since I am still passionate about web development and actually will be starting a webmaster role next week. Keep up the great content!

Damn you just motivated me even more. I’ll be graduating this summer in Front End Development and I’ll be 24 at the end of December this year. It’s so amazing to see another brother in the field and young with it! Keep going king 🤴🏾

Just came from working with Python and Django, and am currently learning React. It's super cool. One thing I've noticed already, is the fact that React sort of forces you to think of the overall architecture of your app, which is really great.

Love your videos like this where you explain how you started out in this career! (I’ll be starting my software engineering degree in the fall and am super nervous to see if I’ll do ok in school/find a job eventually or even internships lol) Rare to see someone who ain’t white/Asian in the industry!

Hey Gyasi, awesome video. It motivated me a lot. I am a 3rd year Computer Science Student from Bangladesh. I really love backend development with Javascript. Right now I am learning React and will transition to React Native for app development slowly. Keep me in your prayers. Any sort of tips would be useful.

These calc courses are killing me. I understand the concepts of the programming classes but math is just so awful for me

Do you think Community College is worth it for an aspiring Computer Science major it because i feel like i have a good chance of getting into my target schools but I'm not completely sold on the Community College CS programs in my area. Also I graduate high school in 2021.

What do you think about computer engineering? I don't have a computer science degree in my country, but i have read about computer engineering and i thought it is a great degree because you take info from both sides: the software part and the hardware stuff.

Loved the video! Quick question, I work with an online company and we are wanting to hire someone or a company that specializes in Full Stack Designer. "Skill Tree" needs to include ColdFusion, MSSQL, HTML5/CSS, jQuery. We also need help getting our servers to the cloud. How would one company go about finding the right fit? I thought reaching out to someone who just got out of school would be a great start. Thanks!

I’m graduating in a semester. I seem to like node and backend with express, mongo etc.. however I like front end but css is a headache. My css is not good and it’s holding me back from feeling like I can ever get a job as a front end engineer.. could you speak on that? My buddy has had two front end engineering internships and said he probably never wrote css ever lol. He did a lot of React/Vue and some html. I know there are many css frameworks, etc. but I feel like if I rely too much on frameworks, I’ll never truly learn front end.. I dig this video brother! Definitely backend, front end and full stack are looking Luke potential routes ! PS: do you recommend any courses or books? I know a few on Udemy but I’m wondering what you think as an actual professional, would be beneficial.

Hey Gyasi have you ever worked with someone with an associates degree? I am in community college now and will be getting mine next year with intentions to begin a bachelors after. I’m just curious if there’s anyone like me out there
