Danny Dyer was discovered by a scout while at school in East London and landed his first acting role in Prime Suspect 3 in 1994. He gained a reputation for playing the tough guy and films like Human Traffic (1999) and The Football Factory (2004) put him on the road to stardom. Danny is most famous for his portrayal of Mick Carter in EastEnders from 2013 to 2022.

Ryan Sampson was born in Rotherham and studied acting at Drama Centre London. He began his career on stage in various theatrical productions. His big break came in 2013, when he played Grumio in the historical sitcom Plebs on ITV2. Ryan also appeared in Brassic with Michelle Keegan in 2019. Ryan wrote and stars in the new comedy series Mr Bigstuff with Danny Dyer.

Danny and Ryan are an unlikely pair but their chemistry is undeniable, making this Dish double-date unmissable. Our foursome talks vinaigrettes, pesto and couscous before tackling the important topic of modern masculinity, inspired by their new show, out now on Sky.

We can’t all have a Michelin star chef in the kitchen, but you can ask Angela for help.

Met Danny once, shook hands through a fence. He was very approachable, can still recall the encounter very well after 20 odd years.

I feel this pain man. I’ve had my daughter in the kitchen from day one touching food smelling food tasting food listening to food cook I thought she’d be a proper little aficionado but she’s the same she’ll whack a frozen pizza no sweat…but put a Cornish hen with a creamy chanterelle sauce in front of her she’ll turn her nose

My girl as a baby would eat everything and everything. Then she turned 2 and suddenly if it wasn't beige she wasn't interested. We've been gradually getting her to eat more as she gets older again. I sorts of remember being like that when I was young too but as an adult I love love love trying loads of foods I would never eat as a kid. The only ones I won't touch are foods I remember a teacher standing over me telling me I HAD to finish it. Be patient and keep trying and don't make food a negative experience and they will come around eventually.

Kids aren't set in their ways, we were taught that we eat what was given with no choice

Kids have more tastebuds on their tongue than us adults do. So everything tastes more intense, hence kidlets liking blander food.

My kids do not try things either but at least they prefer my pizza to shop bought. They spit on everything else though 😢

One bite. If you don’t like it you don’t have to eat it. And put things that they do enjoy on their plates. 90% of the time my kids will eat it after the first bite but they know it’s ok not to. Kids are allowed to have their favorites just like adults l, you just have to play the game with them to get them to figure out their favorites might be. Y’all making it too complicated.

Talks about people being stuck in their ways after saying how he likes roast dinners on a Sunday when he’s nearly 50 years old.

Roast dinners are dead.
