I have basically decided that the hate for them essentially comes down to people don't think for themselves anymore. Most of the people I have met that said Nickelback sucks either have never heard a song or can't name a song they don't like

Nickelback is a funny case. They usually get a lo of hate cuz "they don't try hard enough" or "if you heard one song of theirs you heard them all" but they have some good songs here and there.

The hate on Nickelback is basically just a meme. Some people don't like them because basically all of their songs are super radio friendly and just overplayed on all of the rock stations in the US

Every time I hear this song I get goosebumps. Nickelback is a great band. The hate makes no sense to me but to each their own.

Nickelback, one of my favorite rock bands. I grew up in a mostly hip hop City in Houston, but I am a metal fan. And a lot of people at my old high school, Worthing High, would sometimes ask me why is a black kid listening to rock music.

I have always liked the band like you Kabir why do so many people not like them? This song is great I would hear it on FM radio coming home from work and singing and feeling it.

They are supposedly hated but yet they sell out their concerts. I’ve seen them myself in 2012. The best party concert I’ve ever been to. It’s basically the people who can’t think for themselves that say they don’t like them. If you ask them what songs they don’t like they can’t even answer.

Chad Kroger basically spent a year breaking down number 1 hit songs and then made this one with all the elements that made a song a number 1 hit before, and it was wildly successful. The song was played everywhere all the time, to the point where I believe there was a time when there wasn't a single minute in in America where the song wasn't being played somewhere

Kinda reminds me of Star Wars prequels. Everyone loved em in the theaters and was cheering like crazy. Then people ripped into the not so great parts and shouted down everyone else

Nickelback is a bad ass band when I met my husband. We both loved this song when my daughter was six months old we went to their concert I mean I freaking love Nickelback.

i think how great it is on the first listen is part of why they were derided. it's such a good instant song that you heard it on the radio constantly which leads to a backlash. just my theory. at the time i never got bored of it but some did i think.
