I get severe diarrhea, bloating, and cramping when I eat any type of fiber other than from animal products. I have stayed away from it for the past 5 years and feel so much better. Plus I have no bathroom issues. I also do not eat any processed foods. I just had my 10 year colonoscopy and doctor said everything looked great. I guess I am just an anomaly at 61 years old.

I have had two doctors and a nurse tell me to take psyllium. Every time I did, it blew me up like a blimp and I had this horrible gas distress in my small intestine and colon. Doctors just stare at me when I tell them this. What is going on? Now, I try to stay with green leafy veggies, and yellow/orange/ red fiber rich foods.
