How To Beat Undead! D&D 5e

Rules!
The party is going to be 4 characters at the highest level they can be with the encounter still being deadly. If the encounter isn’t deadly at level 1, I’ll use multiple of the monster until it’s deadly. The monster goes first in initiative. I’m going to be using races, classes, and spells available in any of the dnd books, except for anything with a fly speed, because that’d be the answer for everything, and none of the characters will have any magic items. The strategy will be considered a success if the creature dies and none of the party dies 85% of the time.

Im not sure if you saw my comment on your most damage video but im just wondering about some one of rules just cause it changes how much more damage i can do than the description says

If i push someone in a spike growth and they take the damage does that count as damage the character is dealing or the damage the caster is dealing and if it is the damage the caster is dealing can it be the caster whos the damage dealer as long as its all in one turn disregarding the damage the pusher does

Because contagion is being allowed so its not that others cant cast spells before hand im just wondering since the damage is being dealt in that turn if it counts or not
