Edit:
It was brought to my attention that the lady TRIPLE contaminated the blade as well. It touched the outside of the package as well! AND her gloves touched the outside of the said unsterile package.

This is why you have assistants in the OR

Open it in a way that the blade gets dulled and bent and also touch you fingers to get non sterilized so you can infect the place of wound ✅

Yall do realize that this is for an emergency scenario where you DONT HAVE A HANDLE. Obviously, opening it the normal way is better, but that's not what this video is about. This is for proper emergency scenarios like a natural disaster or nuclear event, it does not apply to everyday life

Well.. why not keep one ready to go in a sterile container, like one that isnt disposable, depending on the situation you could take it out very fast, blade installed and ready to operate. If it were any other mildly less dire situation you could just use a normal scalpel. As alright as this idea is, this still seems kinda sluggish...
