Thomas Toy Library Collection TOMY Vs TRACKMASTER 2 Study COPPA ADULT Test Video

I study a Thomas and Friends Toy Library train set at a local fair. What surprised me was the very knocked around classic Thomas toys from the TOMY and early Hit Entertainment era. I call this style of toy damage Thomas Love. I also noticed the Thomas Trackmaster 2 trains were in very good condition and no children were playing with these trains. Once I started to play I understood why. And maybe what I found the most curious was the fake Thomas toys lurking in the big boxes of the Toy Library train set.

With the massive legal changes that's going to destroy the children's realm on YouTube is this video an adult video or kid video? Or maybe I can ask like this, what's the definition of a kid video?

The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA) is a United States federal law, located at 15 U.S.C. §§ 6501–6506 (Pub.L. 105–277, 112 Stat. 2681-728, enacted October 21, 1998).
The act, effective April 21, 2000, applies to the online collection of personal information by persons or entities under U.S. jurisdiction about children under 13 years of age including children outside the U.S., if the company is U.S.-based. It details what a website operator must include in a privacy policy, when and how to seek verifiable consent from a parent or guardian, and what responsibilities an operator has to protect children's privacy and safety online including restrictions on the marketing of those under 13.
While children under 13 can legally give out personal information with their parents' permission, many websites—particularly social media sites, but also other sites that collect most personal info—disallow children under 13 from using their services altogether due to the cost and work involved in complying with the law.

Curious UPDATE, Two COPPA test videos that featured toy themes are now clear of being 'kids' videos as set by YouTube, both are seen as adult content on YouTube. So the really bad fear campaign being ramped up by the usual suspects is all BS. I suppose easy views in spreading fear on this site. The system seems to know what is a 'kids only' video, I suspect YouTube is looking at the back end data of who's looking at the video. From here on you really need to be careful with the core context of a video, DO NOT AIM CONTENT AT KIDS ONLY, that will kill your channel.

AGAIN, and I'm over this....This video is running limited or no ads due to content identified as not suitable for most advertisers.
HOW THE HELL IS THIS BEING FLAGGED AS NON ADVERTISER FRIENDLY WHY DO THE YOUTUBE SYSTEMS KEEP ATTACKING MY CHANNEL

I’ve been watching you since 2007 I was 8.
I’m now 21.
I would say that your content appeals to _ALL_ ages!

I’m 19 Thomas was a big part of my childhood and seeing these toys bring back memories of a simpler time in my life where I was innocent and didn’t know about the evil that is the real world

As a small child in 2012 I watched your videos. As of now I can say that the content presented here should have no age restriction

And again, the YouTube systems don't understand the context of a video
Made for kids (set by YouTube), now has restricted ad's....video is dead in the water

I love to see the old tomy trains in that condition.
Anyways, I'd have to say this video (to me) appeals to both adult and kids.

Just an update on the previous TOY BUYERS GUIDE video. I set it as adult but the YouTube systems have flagged it as 'restricted advertising', basically their systems see it as a kids video even though it's a video to assist adults in making a purchase. I knew the YouTube machine learning system can't see the real content of a video. RIP YouTube 2019.

Hi Leo! My son is 14, autistic and has Duchennes Muscular Dystrophy so he is confined to a wheelchair. His major hobby is collecting Thomas toys and watching your videos on Youtube. Can you recommend a site or forum where he can find other collectors to trade with, especially for the Thomas Minis series of toys? He has a number of duplicates and a few heavily sought after minis that he is hoping to find.

I still think that it's both for kids and adults.
Kids: They love the toys in general
Adults: Love the customs you make (for example, when you did ertls with HO scale bogies.)

This appeals to both kids and adults but YouTube will demonetize it for thinking it’s a kids video.

And this, everyone, is why youtube needs actual humans to flag videos instead of simple ai’s. The system really is flawed but, no matter what, we will still idolise our favourite rubber chicken throwing Aussie
