Great video! I think the reason why Trackmaster 1 track is noisy is because when engines run on that track it makes a clickity clackity sound. Kind of like the wooden railway clickity clack track.

I honestly prefer both in my opinion! The blue tracks are the cream of the crop with its nostalgic and grand design, however the brown tracks are more durable when connecting and the bit of details on these tracks are fantastic, so yeah, both are actually great in my humble opinion!

I’ve grown up with the old Trackmaster track never had the Tomy track as of right now unfortunately. I think this is a bit late but my bday was like 2 weeks ago, and congrats on 3K :)

No matter how unrealistic Tomy track looks, it will always be better than trackmaster. Mainly with that creativity segment you were talking about

I feel like TOMY had a lot more accessories and “special” tracks, which ment that there’s a lot more you can do. After all, it’s still being manufactured to this day, and new accessories are coming out regularly! Plus, the TOMY tracks are slimmer, which means there’s more you can do in a smaller space!

But I do find it pretty cool that Trackmaster track actually has a special connection that allows you to connect Tomy Track

To play defence for trackmaster switches not being able to be flipped, trackmaster tracks don't have the same "male"/"female" connections that plarail does meaning you can simply turn the switch 180° and still fit it in without any complications.

Imo, these 2 and Trackmaster Revolution all have their own perks.

If you wanna make a realistic layout with different environments, you should pick Trackmaster Revolution (T2 for short) because they fit with every environment unlike Trackmaster, since T2 is a solid colour so it’s more like real tracks.

If you want somewhat realistic environments that, ideally, only include environments like the clayworks, you should go for Trackmaster, so the layout has a cleaner look.

If you don’t care about any of that, then Tomy is definitely the best choice, since it’s actually fairly easy to collect since it’s not just for Thomas and Friends

Great video! I actually sort of agreed with your statements on the video is that Tomy blue truck is better because you can flip the switches and don’t have to buy different variance although I am planning to buy Tomy Blue track not to expand a layout, but just because I want to add a bigger station like Knapford but with four track lines instead of six when I have enough money to buy them.

TrackMaster track is definitely more detailed but the colour is dull, TOMY track is very visible and stands out so I think it looks better

honestly, this compitition was biased and not really fair ( in my opinion) one: the sounds matter but not enough to rank them off that, the concept of the track making a sound makes it more unique. i mean it was intentional.... two: overall how much a track can endure is important, but... bending it does'nt show how it would hold up over time. Three: and most importantly TOMY as a brand wasn't just thomas related... TOMICA WORLD, was making japanese locomotives, rolling stock, TRACK, etc. looonnggg before trackmaster was ever conceptualized. so duh it has more conections, honnestly if there was a guest on. who prefered trackmaster, it would have come out better. i love the video though. i agree for building layouts, just use
