I have been in and out of Berkshire for many years. I try to add shares when they are trading at or near a 52 week low and if I anticipate needing some cash within the next year, I try to sell at or near a 52 week high. Last year I picked up shares in the 160 range and recently sold at 265. My gain actually covered the cash I needed for another purpose. Now I will watch for another 52 week low and decide whether to add more. I follow about 20 stocks that hit a 52 week low. I buy when the fundamentals are sound and they start to chart upward. The hard part is when to sell. You have to be attentive and disciplined to get that part right. I generally hold no more than 5 stocks at one time. Too much diversification just lowers your average returns. I focused on growth stocks in my 30's and 40's but now I add more dividend stocks which I reinvest for preservation of capital, growth and income if needed as I get older. I am in my 60's now and this strategy worked well for me. I can choose 2 or 3 high paying dividend stocks in a high risk sector but quickly go to something else if the market changes.

I’m going all in on AMC. The stock is trading lower than it was during Covid which is when there was basically $0 generated in revenue due to restrictions. Common sense would say A: they are now generating revenue and B: I generally intend to still see new movies in theaters. Dune Part 2 and Kingdom of the planet of the apes just aren’t the same watching at home with the theaters providing surround sound. EspeciallyDune part 2 when Paul used the voice. AMC may be in debt now but it’s a short term problem and there is still significant short interest that we can squeeze

Easy to say for the hedges controlling the market... buy a company, make it grow and put out dividends.... not hard if you're the one in charge
