It’s honestly incredible how this anime captured social anxiety so well all while being funny without making fun of people who suffer from social anxiety.

Out of the comedy, the series is painfully relatable. I mean it when I say "painfully". Because it perfectly portrays the mindset of such a person: unreasonable arrogance and at the same time self-hatred and self-neglecting, constant pitying oneself, constant lying to everyone in order to create and keep a fake "nice" image making an impression of an insincere human being, looking for joy in fantasies because of inability to cope with life difficulties, denial accepting the world as it is, belief that when something does not come easy, it's not worth it/you are not worth it and so on and so forth. I can go on further describing how it feels like to be someone like Bocchi. I would NEVER believe that the author of this story made it up or studied psychology to show the living in social anxiety so truthful and accurate. He/she must have been through it and must have been fighting with it for a long while. NO WAY would I believe the opposite.

Dude I'm like 50 of these views and I can fully recognize how sad that is. That's not a dig at the video or creator at all, the editing is really good and for sure one of the reasons it's stuck with me so much. This song makes Bocchi's massive dreams and desire to connect with people feel so desperate and anxious and overwhelming. I think a lot of people in my life are feeling that way right now, so it's cool to see someone use the relatable funny anime girls and mold them into this weird funhouse mirror of those emotions.
