I not only had to win the playoff but beat every school in TX as well so I could claim the title of King of Texas football. Making the playoffs as a lower-tier independent can be tough.

In my Texas St rebuild I limited myself to recruiting only Texas and their border states, but ended up taking about 95% of my players from Texas as they have a lot of great prospects. Once you beat the Longhorns and Aggies you'll start cleaning up on 4 & 5 stars.
