Linwood industrial estate ablaze as recycling plant goes up in flames

Plumes of black smoke can be seen in the sky across Paisley after a blaze broke out at a yard in Linwood.

Flames are currently coming from inside the yard at the headquarters of waste management firm Enva at Burnbrae Road in Linwood Industrial Estate.

The depot was closed earlier this morning, with lorries from various haulage firms at the estate being turned back.

It’s disposable vapes! People throw them in the bin when they are electrical items and when they are crushed they will explode!! There needs to be more information you can the public on the dangers of this. Put advertisements on it on the tv and social networks asap.
