Kwajalein, Marshall Islands - Part 2

Here it is, part two in my Kwajalein series. Sharks, ants, drones, and diving. I collaborated with a my friends Erik and Charles to get some great footage and give you a better view of the Marshall Islands both from above and below. Bicycle camera work and how to film sharks without swimming with them was all me

Beautiful sunsets and palm trees curtesy of the miracle that is the Marshall Islands. The Music was created by taking a Marshallese song, reversing it, slowing it down 10% and changing the pitch. It has been altered enough that I can claim it as my own, as it is no longer recognizable.

This video is a follow up to my Kwaj part 1 where 3 long flights have brought me from Quito Ecuador to Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshal Islands. It took me 10 days before I got a chance to to get off work and explore the island. Hopefully this will be the first of many videos exploring the Marshall Islands. There's a ferry from here to Ebeye, so I'll be heading over there soon to see the 5th most crowded place in the world, and after my eyes have fully recovered from my recent lasik operation I'll be going under the waves to hang out with turtles and sharks. And of course, I plan on doing a little fishing while I'm here. So, follow along, subscribe, or just check back often to see what adventures I'm up to next.

Because Kwajalein is a US military base, there will be a lot I can't show you guys. This location is a part of the US missile defense system, or Space Fence, so security is tight. Also, I need to tread lightly when exploring the local culture because it's not like in the US where you have freedom of speech. There will be moments where I have to gloss over issues I would prefer to explore in depth, because It would likely offend some of the Marshallese.

I'm including a misspelling of the Marshal Islands and Kwajalein here for for search purposes because so many folks spell it wrong.

If you've read this far into the description you've probably realized most of this is just here for key search terms. Terms like how to film sharks, and how to escape to a tropical island.

America's contribution to the Kwajalein: quansut huts. The video with the sharks by the sea wall was beautiful.

Thanks for the videos and stories whether Afghanistan, Antarctica, Greenland, Marshall Islands, others places, and your home base, Ecuador.

How did you like working and living there? Is the cost of living too high? Thinking about applying for several positions there. Do they give housing to government contractors?

Tropical life has taken it's toll! (Or taking a toll) Bad pun.

Is it still the norm to get injected for yellow fever as caution???
