The book was a triumph and this series is a masterpiece. I cannot understand critics that thought this story was grey and depressing with no redeeming features, it's a magnificent story of healing, redemption and growth that finishes in a flawed but beautiful place. It was also a place of incredible acting performances by so many.

Just watched the last episode of this series and I have to say I was so moved by this story. Mark Ruffalo was incredible inhabiting both characters so completely and exposing his pain and frustrations so realistically, . It wasn't an easy show to watch but it was so beautifully crafted that I felt compelled to continue with the story. Derek Cianfrance did a wonderful job directing and the script was intense and raw. I loved how the Italian storyline was woven into the modern day events and laid out some of the immigrant experience. Kudos to all involved for bringing this haunting and heartfelt story to life.

This series was amazing throughout my daily life I find myself recollecting scenes from the show. Really amazing and a great performance by Ruffalo. There are a lot of important aspects of daily life found in this story.

Unbelievably good book. I can't remember the name of the other book I read from Wally Lamb but it was just as good. The man know how to write a story and turn into life and I always have the memory of the books he writes in my heart. He's just the best.
