I have been finding lately that I prefer the Marshall tones from my Friedman, more than from my Marshall.

For my ears, nothing sounds better than a cranked Marshall.. straight up perfection

I’ve always wondered why I see bands do this! Now it makes sense.
Loving these shorts, super informative.

I like to run an attenuator to control volume. It's really an integral part of the signal chain. Volumes at 4-5 will give you edge of breakup that cleans up really nice off the volume knob and still works as a pedal platform.

Yep. In the 80's, we used to use the #2 input on an Ampeg bass head as an out for a DI into the P.A. It works!

I actually prefer the sole high treble. The spikiness is awesome

Run my SV20 Plexi jumped, really sings. Have found the sweet spot at: Presence 4, Bass 6, Mid 6, Treble 6, Treble Channel at 4 and Normal Channel at 6 - hitting it with a Fuzzrocious Lil Fella with the pedal volume cranked - sounds glorious and recording everything from blues to 70's rock to modern thrash with pretty much no settings changes - just bypass the pedal and roll back the guitar vol knob and it cleans up nicely. Cheers!

Not everyone will appreciate the shorts, I typically don't. But of course in TPS fashion, they find a way to make each and every one fun and informative as always. Bravo, lads!

I need one of those so bad but I can't use it where I live

On my '59 Bassman you can do this without the patch. Plug into the normal Channel and open up the bright volume and dial in more highs. Guess the volumes are all interactive.

My Supro Dual Tone has 2 inputs: Imput 1 and 1+2 where they automatically jumped the channels internally. I of course always use 1+2 haha

That heavy slide towards the end sounded just like the beginning of Call me the breeze 😂

How I didn't know that... I never have a occasion to play 4 input amp. Your channel is Tone Academy for me ❤️❤️❤️

On my fractal it has this amp one or two and then jumped and it’s insane how exact these fractals sound I. My opinion they’re better then the real thing at this point kempers were close 9 years ago but now fractals are the best by far
