Join a movement within the Catholic Church... I guess it's a cultural difference, but in my country Catholics, priests and lay people, are the happiest, most sociable people you can meet. It's strange for me to hear that it's not the same in other countries.

Well, the reality of it is that most of us are not happy no matter how much faith somebody has in God people still get down and it’s not about being perfect to come to God and it’s not about representing yourself as perfect so that people will want to come to God it’s about feeling accepted because that’s all that God wants us to realize is that if we’re doing good, then he accepts and loves us no matter what we don’t have to change ourselves into a particular image so that we can try to fit this persona that we feel we have to have about ourselves. God accepts all of his children, no matter what no matter what they have done in their life if they choose to come to God, God will accept them no matter what so, it’s not about being perfect. It’s about making each other feel loved and welcomed with open arms.

It’s not about convincing anyone it’s about convicting. So yeah, the life of a Christian isn’t all happiness, in fact it’s guaranteed not to be on this earth. We are called to pick up our crosses daily, our reward is with Jesus in heaven.

Don't look happy, be happy. That's harder. Now, I hate this society DEEPLY, it's horrible and disgusting. It's not coherent to show a joy to circumstances you have contempt for. But with people around, you must share what springs from inside.

It’s the pursuit of happiness, eternal life. How about this Way that is Truth? Climate change? Isaiah 24-1, 5. Gay marriage? Malachi 2-15. The sum of things! Daniel 7-25. Healthcare is a right? Sirach 38-15, Ezekiel 13-18. The sum of things! Isaiah 4-1. National sovereignty is white supremacy? Wisdom 6-3. Identify the problem! Zechariah 11-4, 5, 6. Joel 3-3. You want to be a part of that? Unjust gain? Jeremiah 6-13. When you see these things happening! Jeremiah 6-16. Who is with God? Who is against God but think their with him? 2 Thessalonians 2-11. Malachi 3-18.

It has nothing to do with looking "happy". First, ask yourself if you are following Christ. Than go into your place of prayer and pray.
Then... read the gospels to get to know Christ, then follow him..
Jesus said follow me and I will make you fishers of men. When you follow Him than he will chang your heart to love the very people who you are saying "all they see is sad". It's the love of God they long for.

It’s because Christianity is most likely untrue, and if it is true it horrific. It’s hard to be happy when your vision of ideal love is a manipulative absent father who threatens to light you on fire if you don’t say you love him back.

Not true! Not happy, well because your not having that meaningful relationship with Christ that should be put first, and everything else will follow...Its simple, Christ listen, he payed attention to others.
