The Boostmonster is running better than ever! I have been upgrading this bike for the past few months and test riding it to make sure it shreds super hard! In this video I am showing you what we all did to this bike and how well it rides now!
The Boostmonster is made from a 2005 Norco A-line Frame, a 2003 Marzocchi Supermonster fork
This bike is very unique and epic, I can't wait to bring this to places like whistler and the North shore in the near future :)

Hope Wesley heals quickly! Sucks to see him go down that hard. The bike looks awesome, such a cool project

So much nostalgia in this build. We need to see an A-line run.

I have been waiting for a Boost Monster update! Looks crazy and sick. I think you might need a custom paint job on that frame.

Nice, hope recovery is swift.
I'm not young or a advanced rider and too afraid to jump even yet and it's nice to see others pushing the boundaries regardless of the danger.
But stay safe, these injuries we suffer when young come back to haunt us in our later years.

Holy crap dude, I took a long break from MTB and MTB-media for a while (long story) but coming back into it I'm STOKED to see you at 300K subs!? Damn! Good for you man, your hard work paid off! And not just that but this bike looks absolutely amazing.

my buddy had a norco just like this but his was a 180mm single crown marzochi, nostalgia is real, and the legendary hope hubs, I remember them being all the rage too

Mate this is so cool, I cant put into words how much I'm enjoying this series! Thank you so much for making it.
I love this era of bikes and the type of riding they were built for and to see a highly skilled rider actually taking them seriously, doing proper analysis and combining new and old parts to make the ultimate big travel bike and then using it on the super gnarly terrain they are meant for is just magnificent to watch.
Cant wait to see you put it back to back against the 8inch travel bike, it's going to be really interesting to see the difference and hear your thoughts especially since they both have modern tires and brakes.

Please keep making videos like this. 50yr old man here dreaming of the good ole days of NS and Kranked and other vids from the good days. I have a Mountain Cycle Shockwave (NEW) frame that keeps calling me to build.

I'd be interested in the comparisson between the Boostmonster and a rather plush modern dh bike (for example the Commencal Supreme or the Santa Cruz V10) because they are both good at charging through rough stuff

Sick build, Jordan! Sending healing vibes to Wesley! Hope to recovers 100% and can send just as hard again

I <3 old school bikes, especially old frames build with new components and working well even compared to the new geometry bikes.

Feel lots of 'recent' changes are more for getting us to part with more money then it's actually that much of an improvement. Ofc, that's probably because I'm still riding the old stuff 😂😂

I like the fact that you have a few of the old Marzocchi’s. They were the best I’ve ever used in MTB by far.

Sick build!!
Add more highspeed compression if possible, perhaps change the shimstack to fit the linkage better. A 300mm travel bike must be like riding on clouds 😅😅

I did a similar project in 2010. 2009 Ellsworth frame with fox 40 and Mavic SX wheels. except I built it as a super XC bike that weighed in at 36#. 2.4" Schwalbe folding beads rounded it out for super grip. this bike climbs fantastic and goes down even better.

You mentioned the rear shock still being too soft still but you rear spring looks to be just tight enough for it not to slap around. You should turn the spring screw in/tight the spring. Making the spring shorter which in turn making it need more force to compress the shock. Not needing to get a heavier spung shock. Hope you try this and find the rear "stiffer".

Insane bike! I really liked the third-person cinematics near the end of the video since it truly gave a sense of steepness which the goPro typically lacks. Excited to see more updates on that rear shock!

Is there a reason why these forks were never followed up on? Like, not a SINGLE other fork out there with 300mm of travel since 2003? Even the way these older DH bikes are made, they ride so amazing and the new stuff just seems so limited in comparison. Maybe I'm just looking at the wrong manufacturers but everything is like 7" travel now with massive 29" wheels and the bikes just feel insanely huge compared to the older stuff like this. This Boostmonster is the total embodiment of my DREAM DH bike and I wouldn't try to justify it anymore than just saying "it has 12" of travel so I can fkin SEND IT!" Love the bike and what you do Jordan, just wish that the days of 2005-2012 DH bikes would come back!

And to think we used to ride these gnarly trails on rigids back in the day.

Would be like riding a Cadillac in comparison. Very cool build.

Gotta remember this frame was built for a-line and that style of trail for the day, was never a snappy bike, they made other frames for tight and twisty stuff. Great to see this bike up and running, and hope Wesley heals up quick.

I would go for a custom frame to really make it modern and awesome.
You learned a lot in your testing sessions.
