For years I hated lawn care after doing it since I was a kid. Now watching you and some other freaks! It has sparked a flame inside of me for lawn care. Thanks dude and blessings to u and your family.

By far, this is the most detailed, the most informative, and the coolest instructional video yet dealing with a soil problem.

The combination of ceasing the use of Scotts 4 step program and infestation of grub worms destroyed my lawn in about two months a few years back. I was forced to skim off the top layer of my lawn in the bad areas and add new top soil and hydro seed. Since then, I found LCN's YouTube page and my lawn has been fabulous. However, last June I notices the tell tale ring of dead grass mid summer and new what was going on. I put down an application of Milky Spore and within two days there were dying grubs coming to the surface of the soil. I have followed the recommended application for the Milky Spore (3 apps per year for two years) and had no issues this summer. One more application to go and the law should be grub free for up to 10 years.

Great video.

I had Grub worms in my lawn. I have June bugs everywhere.

I put down acelpryn granules yesterday.

I didn’t understand the preventive-currative points until this video.

Should I go out and grab a curative?

I have battled Grubs for the last 15 years. "slow learner" After you have described the life cycle of the Grub, I now have 100% controlled grubs in my lawn. Here is what I am doing. I have put down Milk Spore concentrate that has a 10 year control. I then spray Bifinthrin 7.9% at 1 oz per gallon per 1000 sq ft. I spray at the first of each month; May, June, July, August, and September. I catch each part of the Life Cycle. It is so important to spray each month. I catch the adult beetles as they come out, laying eggs, and coming in from my neighbors lawn. This may sound like an overkill, but I HATE Grubs with a passion. This is working for me, and if you have grubs problems, spray Bifinthrin and your problems will be gone. It also controls moths, ants, spiders, you name it. I am not sure how it works on Sod Web Worms. Dylox will control them

Thanks lawn is the best it has ever been.

Very helpful right on the money. If I were to put down a Curative in October can I still put down my fall fertilizer and Seed?

Another great informative video! Do you think you will be in your new house in time to start a Fall lawn care schedule and take us through the complete process so that we can do it with you - each step as you do them (like with Aerating, Fertilizing, and Over-Seeding)... since I'm sure your new yard will probably be in need of some heavy Over-Seeding and Aerating to get it in top shape?

I have a big yard and no sprinkler system, so I have to treat before June to make sure I get some spring rains to water it in. Which is tricky, because you might get some torrential rains that do more than just water the control in. It may wash it off. A real pain in the ass.

Bug-eyed sunglasses for a bug video. Gotta love it! Great video! Probably the 3rd, 4th, or 5th time I've watch it, and I get something new out to it each time. Like and old dog, repetition is good!

I have never had a grubworm problem and have never put down anything to treat for them. 3 or 4 years ago my next door neighbor had a huge grub problem the crazy part was that the 3 big spot she had by the property line stopped right at the property line and didn't come over into my lawn. I wonder if I am just lucky or is there something that would cause grubs not to want to be in my lawn.  I have lived here a long time and have seen several outbreaks of grub worms in the neighborhood over that time and I myself never had a problem to the point of neighbors asking what I do to prevent them, some have gotten pissed when I say nothing like I have some secret I won't share. I do have a very healthy lawn with a very good root system.

What about beneficial nematodes to control grubs? I try not to put too many chemicals in my lawn because of the pups. Both are terriers and we have moles so I assume there are grubs. The dogs just dig until they cath one but the moles keeps coming back. Mostly in our back yard which is about half shade.

I guess that explains why I see Japanese beetles flying out from the lawn. Any advice on preventing Japanese beetles from eating your fruit trees? I treated for grub worms this summer already but I'm sure my neighborhood didn't which is why they're swarming my trees.
