My semi-cheapskate package:
1. Hulu-Disney-ESPN+ bundle (which I believe is still available for $13.99 a month for a year or something like that).
2. Annual deal with Paramount for just over 8 bucks a month (ad-free of course).
3. Amazon Prime package (because of both the video and the shipping).
4. Tried Peacock Paid for awhile, now waiting for them to merge with Paramount for a better package price?
5. Have had Apple+ but think I will let it go because not enough content for us, though certainly cheap enough.
6 I don’t think the following belong in the Cheapskates category (which I am) but did try HBO for a month and now Netflix yet again (to binge as you suggest Stranger Things and a couple others), letting them both go for now, too pricey with all the options.
7. Of the freebies, Plex and Roku channel grabbing my attention mostly of late, also bounce in and out of the rest of those you mention, will likely keep doing so since you recommend them all.
As an avowed cheapskate cord-cutter I like to keep my monthly budget around 40 bucks, not counting YouTube Premium, or the cancelled HBO & Netflix. Thanks for the inspiration.

You half wrong about Plex. You or someone has to host the server in which the media sits. In other words you don’t upload your media to the cloud, you put it on your own server.
