Some might now, some probably "googl'ed" it. "Kaiserion" is kinda tribute/requiem to Hypatia of Alexandria. She was a philosopher, mathematician and inventor and had a lot of moral authority and influence on political scene, and among the people. She is also called "martyr of science". She was sentenced to death by Cyril of Alexandria due to her contact with Orestes, viceroy of Egypt, and probably Cyril's jealousy of respect she had among the people of Alexandria.

As a Guitarist myself growing up in the 70s 80s 90s Tobias has takin into consideration every bit of that Rock Music!! Thank You Tobias for making my day listening to your music!! I relate time to music like you do and holy crap almost every song on this album puts me back in 70s 80s remembering what I was doing when certain bands where playing music. Tobias is a Rock History Professor!!! Thank You Sir!!

I am a 70's and 80's Heavy Rock fan and tend to avoid modern bands but Ghost are simply awesome.

Interesting facts. I've just discovered that 'Hypatia', whose name is sung by the backing vocals (first heard at 1:25, but sung repeatedly later over that great guitar riff), was a female philosopher and mathematician in the 4th-5th century AD, who was murdered by Christians who dragged her into a building known as the Kaisarion!
