How To Tie: The Up and Over Rig

Показать описание
In this video I will go over what the up and over rig is, how to tie it and its uses.

The Up and over rig is a great rig to use in areas of clean ground and where there is some tidal flow. It Presents a bait on bottom and away from the main rig body for excellent presentation when targeting bottom feeding fish such as flounder, plaice, rays and tope. This rig can be made short or long depending on your preference.

The up and over would not be recommended in areas where the ground is rough or where there is a heavy surf because with such a long hook snood, it can tend to get lost in rocks or get wrapped around the main rig body resulting in lost fish.

If you have any questions please let us know.

Components:
2ft - 65lb Mono for Main Body
less than 4ft - 40lb mono for hook length
2x Gemini Lead link with Bait Holder
2x 5mm Beads
1 Swivel
1x 4/0 Hook
1x 4/0 Circle Hook

Great video!! How come you don’t two circle hooks? Especially the one that connect to the weight clip?

Nice explanation and demo! Can I ask why you use a circle as the penal hook? I currently use a 5/0 mustad chinu on top of a 5/0 uptide Viking for my ray fishing

Unfortunately I had to look for another video, I couldn't hear what you were explaining because of the unnecessary irritating background music, if I wanted to listen to music I would of turned my radio on.
