I was suffering from depression, anxiety, and PTSD from the age of 11. At the age of 23 I was completely isolated, feeling like I was doomed. When I felt at my lowest, I came across mushrooms. I had heard the stories of great healing, and being so desperate I gave it a try. At the peak I was so overwhelmed with emotion I didn't know what to do. Feeling an immense urge to vomit I walked towards the bathroom. Right as I entered the door way my vision blackened rapidly but in slow motion from the outsides. I felt my legs giving out. I slid down the door jamb feeling as if I was being pulled into hell by demons. When I came to I was curled up like a fetus, with tears flowing out of my eyes. Silent. In my head I heard "I'll just stay here and submit to the pain" but without skipping a beat after that thought I said outloud "you have gotten up everytime you've been kicked down. It will make no sense to stay down now." I jumped back up and made it to the toilet. I finally made it to vomit. Feeling filthy I drew a warm bath. I turned off the lights, lit a few candles, and put on some calming ambient music. When I finally slid into the tub I felt the warmth come over me. My muscles completely relaxed for the first time in what seemed to be years. Realizing how everything was okay, I started laughing. I was laughing at myself for all the pain I caused myself by letting the trauma continue to affect me negatively. From there on I decided to accept the lesson that I refused to learn from. The rest of my adventure was pleasant and restful. Without that trip, I believe I would have never known the path towards the fruitful and loving life I have today.

Just my opinion, but many people have a lot of defenses when it comes to their self and they find it really hard to express themselves, I think drugs like suppressants and psychoactives can forcefully reduce (or increase) someone's defenses and I imagine it's very liberating for those people who have these defenses and makes them feel like actual normal people for once.

My first trip was at a point I was wandering down a very wrong road in my early 20's.. It was like a 'soft reset' and made me realise my situation. From that point, I made profound changes that I believe turned my life around..

I can attest. I took acid when I was 13 (not wise at that age, I know. But I was an idiot like all 13 yr olds). I immediately set about learning to draw to recreate the things I saw. I've become technically proficient enough to do paid commissions. That first trip has stayed with me my entire life and is absolutely one of the most beautiful, revelatory experiences I've ever had.

Shrooms are always a good time. For me I laugh for about 45 mins, stand up and just walk. Head feels so clear and everything else is good.

Because it's enriching and changes how you see how magical existence can be.

Wel... maybe I didn't ingest enough 🤷🏽‍♀️
Things were really beautiful and I did become more uninhibited. But nothing to the degree of a transcending experience.
Just personally. Everyone's trip is different.

Yeah… psilocybin basically just makes your brain super talkative. It allows different parts of the brain to communicate with other parts that never could before, and more efficiently than normal.

So In some people, changes can become permanent.

I would advocate for caution when taking hallucinogenics. I had a horrifically bad trip on LSD in 1981 which landed me in a mental hospital. I had terrible flashbacks for years. Yes, it was one of the top most significant experiences in my life, which I'd describe as transcendent because it was intensely spiritual, though not entirely in a good way: the "spirits" which were part of my bad trip were mostly malevolent, although I also believed I heard comforting words from God. Would I recommend it? Not for everyone. Do I regret it? No. But it was incredibly traumatic.

Psychedelic’s definitely have potential to deal with mental health symptoms like anxiety and depression, I would like to try them again but it’s just so hard to source here

Now am saying..You wake up in the morning daily and all may seems fine? Similar to me while the differences is you are a millionaire..It's not overthinking or unnecessary feeling but we are embedded with daily depression. Our negative thought will never be in par to positive due to beyond human engagement. Are we always Mr. Right when other's Wrong in our conduct of view. The similarity on the content of your speech is equivalent of a normalcy or under the influence..There are a few like us and the influence of our sayings is look upon from others either happiness or harmful effect. Our expression involves sincerity of a message culminating a View at it's best..God bless you Jordan

DMT did way more than shrooms and LSD did, obviously... But it's something no one can explain that well... Because your experience everything and that itself is hard to explain because the process of explaining it goes on and you end up forgetting other profound parts to the experience... Although LSD and shrooms are way easier to explain... DMT is the most important and profound experience I've ever had in this life and I don't think I'll have that experience again until I either do it again or my body dies, unless I learn to induce it myself... With DMT you embody God conciousness and that's the best way I can explain it

Absolutely, yes. My experimentations during the summer of 1969 in the psychedelic Mecca of Boulder, Colorado opened the door to the vast realms of Metaphysics. After three years of searching, the God of the Bible apprehended me in dramatic ways. Christian mystical experience was far superior to anything drugs offered. Spiritual growth has continued over the past 55 years.

Sure, not true of LSD, though, which mushrooms are often laced with. The "profound mystical experience" may be so horrific and terrifying they can come back as debilitating flash backs, reappearing at random, for years and years later.
