I am the first and only active member of my family. I am the pioneer of the true gospel. My four children are inactive and their children were not exposed to our faith but through me and they have turned their heads from me. I have to try to show my love for them besides their life style. This is all I can do at this moment. I pray that some day, some how, by whom, the gospel will enter into their hearts.

We truly can find rest in the covenants we've made with the lord even when/especially when our situations seem unfulfilled or less than ideal. Make and keep covenants, and his promises are sure. I sense that somebody is gaslighting her. Perhaps not treating her with the respect that she has EARNED! I know how gaslighting works and because she’s so bright, beautiful, knowledgeable and strongly committed to the Gospel. Those are ENOUGH REASONS. It’s been happening to me for at least 24 years.

What doesn’t kill us makes us stronger through drawing closer to Heavenly Father. Their techniques actually backfire on me.

I absolutely love the story of the homeless man who inspired that woman’s drawing of Jesus.
It reminds me of one of my favorite hymns: “A Poor Wayfaring Man of Grief” where the speaker does everything he can to serve this poverty stricken man.
And at the end the man reveals he was actually Jesus— illustrating that the Savior cares deeply what we do for one another— as if we were doing them unto Him.

When you have a family member who is off the path, the Book of Mormon teachings are very direct about the consequence of dying without repentance. And it isn’t comforting. Mosiah 2:36-40.
