Thank you Sir, my friends pump was chattering (cycling on and off quickly) and I was able to correct the off pressure setting in less than 2 minutes after watching this video. It's now running as it should.

Awesome presentation, I
think you should either lose or turn down the music

Best explanation for doing this I have ever seen. The graphics showing the range moving up and down is an excellent visional. thank you!

Thanks, my new switch (30-50) shut off at 45 and cut in at 28. Two clockwise turns of the range(big) spring angle it’s perfect. Thanks very much!

Very clear and thank you for mentioning that it could be caused by debris in the pressure sensing line.

Thank you for posting this. What could be the issue if my pressure switch will sometimes not kick on when needed?

Thanks for visual demonstration.

Let’s say you wanted a shorter range: couldn’t you just loosen the main screw, raising both the cut-in/cut-out simultaneously, and then tighten the cut-out screw?

So rather than a 20 psi differential you have a 10 or 15 differential?

Hi, in my case the pressure drops for about 15s and then only the pump starts. what should I adjust. Appreciate your advice. I am from Sri Lanka. Thanks.

I have a well with two homes on it and one house is 40 feet above the pressure switch. I think I might try adjusting the main range up and lower the cutoff. This helps me greatly. Thank you.
On a side note.. I did just install an oversized expansion tank to help keep down the cycle count.

Very helpful, thanks. What if the Cut-Off-Only was loosened up could the pressure drop down to a lower value, say 50, 55, etc?

I replaced a 30/50 switch with a 40/60 switch a year or two ago. Now I want to install an Orbit DIY irrigation system that states I would need 50 psi and a 5 GPM. Should I adjust the 40/60 switch to 50/70 so the cut in point wouldn't go below the 50 psi requirement for the irrigation system? If I adjust the range screw so that the range will be 50/70, will there be any potential problems with the rest of my water system?

How come when my power cuts off / i lose electricity i have to go down under the house manually and reengage the switch via the allen tool looking bar.

I think it’s wrong when he adjusted the first nut. It shows 40- 62. It should be 42-62. You need to adjust smaller nut if you want 40-62.
