Here is a guide on how to cut acrylic glass. Use a liner as guider, pull the blade toward you, leaving a score mark. Score the acrylic several more times along the same line. Also use the backside of your box cutter. Then place the acrylic sheet on the edge of a table and use a light, quick pressure to snap the piece in two.

This is "a" way of doing it.

If you leave the film in place, it will protect from scratches as you work. You'll never see a professional remove film until after final application or installation of the product. Your first cut with a sharp blade cuts through it.

To snap after scoring, clamp the short side to the table using a block of wood the full length of the cut, then snap off the larger side. This provides leverage while also equalizing the force of the bend along the cut. When you snap the short side off, the forces applied are not even and can cause an uneven edge. requiring more work to finish.

Hey, Thanks for the video, had a question: This works for an acrylic mirror as well, right? to cut it shorter?
