I already tried this step but it doesn't just WORK... I have this problem on my and messenger account its almost 1yr that i got this problem, since i often deactivated my messenger account but when i reactive again my account started not showing any notifications or even popping notifs its not even sounding when someone chats me. However, i can see message but i need to open my messenger so that i can see if someone messages me but if I didn't i won't really know that someone messages me. I tried logging in some other accounts using my device to open their messenger and the notifications work. Thats when i realized that only in 'my account' notifications thats not working and i guess its because of my deactivation. I tried to report this but it didn't work out. Can y'all help me

Does anyone know how to fix it to where the regular messenger sound goes off when I get a text instead of my regular notification sound for all other notifications? I have a andriod.
