Facebook Messenger Not Working! (FIX)

Learn how to fix Facebook Messenger if it's not working in this quick and easy guide.

Facebook Messenger may not be working on your iPhone, iPad, Android, or your Mac laptop or PC computer. If that's the case, I'll walk you through the steps in this video to get your Messenger working again so you can send messages and video chat with your friends.

You will want to check and make sure your internet connection is strong enough to run Messenger. If your internet is working, you will want to check and update your app if it's not fully updated. You can do this also by offloading and reinstalling the app. If these don't fix your problem, you may be able to solve it by emailing Messenger customer support and have them troubleshoot your issue.

I can't get it to work. Messenger isn't permitting me to send links because they are and I quote "abusive or otherwise not allowed."

I know it is late but my pc messenger and phone messenger are not synchronised (I use the same account ofc) which means even tho I already repplied or read the message my phone still shows me that I haven't read them so every time I have to open messenger app to see manually that it's nothing there

I hope you see this... my messenger looks just like yours with the profile pic on the top left, but on others' it shows 3 bars. When they tap it, it shows different options that I don't have. I've updated the app, uninstalled and reinstalled. I can't find out why mine is different. I'm trying to join a group chat for work but the option isn't showing up. My friend has the same phone (iphone) but his messenger has three bars on the top left corner instead of a profile pic. I checked the message requests and the spam, its not in either of them. Any ideas?

So I got a msg on messenger the other day, I hadn't really looked at my phone and only saw it a few hours later. It just kinda said hi, seeing how things are hope your doing OK. But there was no profile available to view, also it won't allow me to type anything back. I'm sure this is only if the profile has been deleted. So did someone message me, then before I got a chance to see it delete their own profile or remove themselves from messenger?
