1 & 2 Kings: The Bible Explained

Watch our Introduction video on the books of 1 & 2 Kings, which outlines the books' main theme and how it is fulfilled in Jesus.

1 & 2 Kings form one book on Israel's history. But more importantly, they tell a story about death and life. In Kings, everything Israel hoped in as a nation fails them. The kings, the temple, the law, and the prophets are all unable to stop Israel's inevitable death. All the evil and failure of the kings point to the end of the story when Israel as a nation will die in exile. But the good news of Kings is that death is not the end. Throughout the story, God promises that the people of Israel will be raised back to life. This same hope extends to us in the death and resurrection of Jesus.

Amazing. As always. I could watch these over and over. Been using them to help reach others who grasp the word much better visually but it opens them to reading and such. Praise GOD! Your pastor’s heart helps lead more of the Children of GOD to chose the correct, but narrow gate that leads us to The Kingdom of our GOD. Thank you good and faithful servants!

Let us enter into the narrow gate: for wide is the gate and broad is the way, that leads to destruction, and many are they which foolishly enter that evil gate.

Because narrow is the gate and narrow is the way, which leads unto life, and few there be that find it.

Let the reader take heed of the words written in red ink [the literally recorded and written words of our LORD and Savior JESUS CHRIST] as are recorded in the Seventh Chapter of The Gospel of Matthew in verses 7:13-23.

Read these words very very well and commit all of them to memory.

As the late great Teacher Dr. R.C. Sproul once said:
“These are the words you never want to hear: ‘I NEVER KNEW YOU: DEPART FROM ME, YE THAT WORK INIQUITY.’”

Read all of this pericope (a passage from the Bible as a single unit) namely Matthew 7:13-23 with great care.
