I love how the color changed after oak star banished her from the clan and how the song at first sounded sweet when you focused on it as her loving her lots but when the kits died and she started killing the cats it started feeling creepy since the music is so slow

It was also very refreshing to see a Mapleshade video that focuses less on her murder spree, and more on the love she had for her kits and how the wrongs that were committed to them were the reason that she wanted revenge so badly! Your videos are always so creative and I am always glad to see them in my subscription feed! Keep up the great work!

I love how in the part where she gets kicked from riverclan, some of the cats that’s are portrayed as “evil” get black eyes with a ring of their eye color, that is so frikkin creative! I wish more people where like you, and are able to go out of their comfort zone and make their art like yours!

oh god, the feels! I love how you portrayed Maple in this light. She was a really loving mother... but being loving doesnt equal being a good parent.


it was her who indirectly killed her own children, clouded through a haze of distress and panic. I can understand why she would have though it would have been the right thing to cross.


Her kits 'haunting' her? most likely hallucinations brought on by grief and guilt, because deep down she probably knew that it was her fault. People who are hurting will do anything to stop it.


This honestly is the best way to portray maple, showing that she is still willing to do anything for her kits... maybe even as a distraction from the pain. She wants to hurt those who 'betrayed' her, and having her 'kits' telling her what to do is even better reason for her to lash out.


Sorry, this turned into a slight rant, but instead of people portraying Mapleshade as soley 'the victim', it's nice to see that she was quite literally deluded. Maybe if she had told someone before hand.. Maybe instead of attacking those who were the catalyst, she could have taken out Oakstar. Because lets face it- trashman no.1, he missed out on the opportunity on free babies.

i love how appledusk is portrayed as a loving father, grieving for his kids, etc. all things considered, he is a bad person. but the detail of him blatantly loving his children is something I appreciate !!

I get this is a fantasy series, but always, always keep in mind that murder is the worst response to anything Mapleshade suffered. She is not justified. A tragic villain. But not justified. Anyway this is absolutely stunning. Please never stop making these!

I just absolutely adore your art style and how you portrayed maple shade I hate it a lot when most artists make the video focused just and the murders that she did, but you made it focused truly on her love for her kits and that’s exactly how I imagined maple shade in my mind I always believed people put her in the wrong when she should truly be in the right all she wanted was her kits and to love them and stay with them no matter what
