12-year violinist SoHyun Ko, joined by pianist Allison Freeman, makes her Heifetz Institute debut with a sensational performance of Pablo de Sarasate's "Zigeunerweisen," Op. 20.

Captured in concert July 17, 2018 at a Heifetz Institute "Stars of Tomorrow" concert at Mary Baldwin University's Francis Auditorium in Staunton, VA.

She said when she was young, her mom had to stop her not to playing violin cuz she practiced hours for one note or phrase. She even played for more than 10 hours per day by herself even nobody pushed her to do it. What a hard work genius!!

I don't get how kids can even play like that. Fluency, matured playing, and techniques take so much time to develop. Perfecting a piece takes even more time. It's incredible
