So true mate. Americans have little to no clue about great music. Four legends on a stage putting up a masterpiece of a show and they just count their shoes.
I'm going to Finsbury as well, I WANNA BE ADOOOOREED!!!

All four of these lads are individual legends, Mani is one of the best bassists ever, John Squire is an amazing guitarist and artist, Reni is the most natural drummer ever and Ian Browns voice is still as unique as it was in 1989, however bad it may be, won't hear a word said against these

Heaton park was great because everyone in the crowd was up for it, jumping and singing. Whether Americans just aren't familiar with the music, I don't know. But when you're at a gig with that sort of music I can't understand how you could just be stood there. I certainly won't be when they're back in England at Finsbury Park. Can't wait to see them again!!

There are Americans like myself who love UK music but haven't always had the chance to see them perform live. Often UK bands play NYC and LA and rarely any other places in between. So, don't always blame music taste. There are other reasons at work.

When a typical, clueless hipster friend of mine saw The Stone Roses on the bill, she (obviously having no idea who The Stone Roses are), told me that the rumor was that it was secret code for The Rolling Stones and Guns and Roses. Sigh. I'm pumped just sitting here at home watching this on my laptop. I couldn't imagine how awesome it would have been to be there.

Coachella deserves this. Perpetuating nostalgia for profit is the blight that kills creativity in music. Hahaha, people are looking at each other going, what is this shit. Stone Roses, you made one brilliant album, which is enough, kindly exit the stage with your millions, invest wisely, and never come back.

Yes Ian has never had the best voice but these comments just show America’s don’t understand British music with the Stone Roses is not about the voice is about the band as a whole and the culture and multi generations the music effects over here

that statement could not be more wrong the roses are great obviously, but id say that old blues music all came from america, then the British took it like the stones and beatles and cream etc, without american music there would be no stone roses because they came from the blues, and people like hendrix and john lee hooker have more soul than anybody!

not true at all actually. I've lived here ten years and Americans are perfectly aware of bands. the stone roses were never big here and coachella is essentially a young persons festival; it was a stupid booking that the organizers should never have made. All my friends here who are my age had no clue who they are simply because they never did as much as the bands that proceeded them in the 90's, like Oasis and Blur etc. they are also stood there because they sounded shit and burned out.

i love the roses but man... that crowd sucked. if they never come back to the u.s., i don't blame them. i just wish i can get some cash and go to britain to see them w/ a crowd that appreciates them.

I am a huge Roses fan! But Ian's vocals make me regret seeing them live. Ruined my image of them.

I love me some Stone Roses... I was at this show and stoked beyond belief to actually get to be seeing them ... But between Isn's crap vocals and the crowd wondering why Oasis wasn't doing Wonderwall (clueless yobs) it was overall a let down performance. I would go again but that left me bummed that they didn't come close to what I had hoped for
