She is best known for her motivational style sermons and conferences. She is also known for being a false teacher. Sarah Jakes teaches a false doctrine that Satan is going to bruise the woman's heel, and the woman is going to crush Satan's head. If you're confused... Join the club! If you listen to any of these folks with your Bible open it won't take very long to recognize false teaching. But many of us are lazy and don't want to be faithful Bereans, searching the Scriptures to check if what is being said lines up correctly. Itching ears. Collecting teachers who will tell us what WE want to hear, not what sayeth the Lord.

I was so hurt and sad when I realized that Sarah was actually off, I literally cried because she was someone I truly admired but when the Holy Spirit began to reveal truth about Gods will and purpose for us as Christians I began to realize that the message they were spreading about businesses and being actors and writers and all these things as being Gods purpose and our way to build the kingdom was not true. We were making it about ourselves and just using the Bible to fulfill our worldly desires. Instead of truly seeking Gods will which clearly stated in Ephesians.

One thing I’ve noticed about TD Jakes.. when I was attending his church, he never once mentioned pulling out the Bible! And the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree I see. It all makes sense!

You can tell she started off lying. She began stuttering too fast. I used to listen to them, but my spirit wouldn’t allow me to continue to listen. It mad my spirit very upset before my flesh caught it. May God continue to bless your ministry!!

Sometimes I heavily doubt my judgement because of the deception all around me, it makes me feel like I am the only one who sees things differently so maybe I am the problem. So many people disturb my spirit and yet everybody seems to praise them.

Please correct me if I’m wrong. But I read the scripture differently

Genesis 3:15 “and I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.”


it is foreshadowing Jesus’s heel being bruised. But because Jesus overcame death and was risen it empowers us that we can also overcome things in life(hardship, pain etc). Maybe she wasn’t replacing woman with Jesus but we will also rise above and overcome because he has risen to save us. We can do all
Things through Christ.

I'm more surprised that any of y'all respected her enough to call her a teacher. When she started being popular whenever, I already knew what it was and never bought into her. I use to go to Potters House church as a youth to adult, the same time she was a youth and adult. This girl was never involved in church AT ALL in teenage years or adult years. I went there when and after she had her baby. This is simply family business. Their dad taught them how to provide for themselves by books, conferences and social media ads. She never as well as her siblings, except Cora, was never, NEVER involved in anything in the church. So as I became an adult, I'm trying to figure out at what point did she become a speaker when she never was in church. Bishop has 3 boys but you NEVER see them. Wonder why?? I know why but I'll leave it there. Their not interested in the family business, just the perks.

My sister sent me a text... "you need to watch this sermon!" It was this lady talking about "girl, get up" that you showed in the clip. I was already put off from the start. Biblically unsound, emotional, puffed up motivational speaking. When I looked at the title and I saw her name, I thought, "oh no, I wonder if that's 'Jakes' as in TD Jakes." Sure enough. Thank you for this video. It helped a lot

She helped me get to accepting my past and God's forgiveness. But in growing in scripture you do start seeing how it doesn't go together. I think she does great work but at times it feels like the word must submit to her message. And that she didn't want to go to ministry school. But I'll always appreciate the work she does, I hope she comes to the Truth.

This type of "teaching" is so dangerous. Way more dangerous than the people who receive it realize. I was eyeball-deep in such teaching for a decade. I can say firsthand that all it does is strengthen flesh and make you comfortable in a false conversion. You don't walk out of conferences like that with an urgency to tell the true gospel of Christ. You likely don't know the true gospel. You don't leave there with a real burden for souls. You leave there thinking God owes you something, your family owes you something, your boss owes you something, even other church members owe you something. They all owe you the right to be great and grand. You'll get to where you're willing to cut off anyone who won't feed into your delusions of grandeur because they're "not going where you're going". It's sad. I will say that if a person who is listening to it is sincere and have a want for truth the Holy Spirit will lead you out. Even if you don't know what the checks you begin to get in your spirit are. If you ask God, He'll literally lead you to His word and begin to pull you out of that deception and point you to the Truth of the gospel of Jesus. I'm a witness to that.
