NTSB holding final meeting on 2023 Ohio train derailment

The National Transportation Safety Board will hold its final meeting Tuesday on the 2023 train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio, that scattered toxic materials into the air and water. The group will then release a final report of its findings and recommendations to prevent future incidents. Chris Marquette, transportation reporter for Politico, joined CBS News to discuss some of the new rail safety rules that have come in the wake of the East Palestine derailment.

This pile up happened after we had good rulings and safe laws on the books from Obama's presidency, that were set aside by Trump's presidency, at the request of railroad mogul's, wanting less expensive laws for toxic transport, and Trump lessened and took out those laws, as generally not so necessary for an unlikely event like that. Trump ok'd that rail cost saving, as unlikely, (until it happened). Cutting costs for friends is a nice thing to do, except when it is not leadership, but doing favors for powerful friends, which was what Trump did to help a friend out, and it might not have been noticed if that train did not derail and pile up making a toxic dump out of a small town in Ohio, on a small river emptying into the Mississippi, our main natural waterway for the entire country. We can't have that waterway made a toxic dump for the next thousand years that is evil and corrupt to risk our country on a dime.
Vote blue, with attitude. If you resent going to the trouble of voting for an old guy, ... and you want speed and youth, ... consider what you get from the other old man WHO WINS, if you DON'T VOTE for the old guy in office now, who is the only one who cares about the people enough, not to dump the safety laws on the books, when he could sell them to fatten his wallet.
