Uh - why not edit out the first 25 min of dead air?

The pilot was flying VFR in essentially IFR conditions. He had to request special VFR just to stay legal and the controller told him maintain VFR below 2500’ yet it was 1100 overcast. Witnesses on camera saying he was on cloud. It’s 100% the pilots fault for lack of situational awareness and pushing the flight beyond his limits. Go to VASA aviation and listen to the controllers and pilot talk. Red flag came up for me the moment he requested special VFR.

She looks exhausted like she has been working non stop on this situation. Salute to her!

Everyone at my school wore their Kobe jerseys and I felt heartbroken about how many fans loved him, but he just passed away

32:40 I heard the local police in area grounded their helicopters that morning because unsafe conditions of fog, kobe has a special permit to fly in bad conditions, so he can beat traffic to places, this permit should change and be used for life threatening (heart attack 15 min to hospital) conditions only
not chauffeuring people to a practice or bypassing traffic.... what a tragic loss

32:38 The better term is VFR Flight Following - ATC gives radar situational awareness (position reporting of other aircraft, navigation assistance), airport status, etc. information to the pilot, but the actual "see and avoid" is the responsibility of the pilot - Visual Flight Rules. It's also a service that is provided relative to the workload of the ATC operator.

Hopefully the iPad with Foreflight was synched to a Stratus device - that should provide information on flight path, etc.

Rest in peace Kobe. Legends live on forever. Watching the laker's game two days ago, LeBron passed Kobe on most career points and Kobe reached out on Twitter to congratulate him. Then the next day he and his daughter get in a catastrophic helicopter crash. Rest in peace, Kobe. You will live on in our hearts forever.

And how there was a cartoon 3 and a half years ago that showed Kobe dying in a helicopter crash?

100% the pilot’s fault and negligence! At the moment he saw all that fog, he should had maintained the aircraft still on the air and slowly decent until touching ground somewhere! Forget about ATC instructions and react!

Anyone else thought it was clickbait at first?!

Fog and flying do not mix, the pilot should known that, while he was circling for 15 mins, he should aborted the flight and wait for clearer weather conditions.

I bet the pilot was depressed and purposely crashed. When was the last time you heard of a helicopter falling out of the air like a bird? It just doesn’t happen.

⁉Why hold a news conference when you have no significant information to give? What caused the crash? Was it pilot error (most likely) mechanical failure? Why haven't all the bodies/parts been recovered? What condition are the bodies in? Was Kobe found holding his daughter? Weren't the bodies blown apart in crash? Where is the Black Box? No Black Box? What kind of helicopter was It? What was the actual flying experience of the pilot in flying persomal planes? Those are just a FEW questions I would

Like what’s the point of even asking her a question she literally doesn’t answer any of them... she just repeats the question like a weirdo

one question asked: "was there any chance for survival?"
and she gives the predictable answer, "that's something that's part of the investigation..."
but then she adds, "it was pretty devastating..."
it happened quick. i'm making a good guess that they didn't even know.
