The panic she had going at the end of this scene was a lot like the reaction she had to Layla not getting a spot minus the full blown rage when she tried to destroy the storage closet. If leyla leaves she’ll relapse. It’s the first time she’s really been in love. I understand that desperate feeling you get when you feel that person slipping away, whether it be by them having to leave or because you lied and didn’t tell her you helped her stay with you. I think on some level Leyla has known since the finale of last cos she asked if it was her doing that got her the spot. She should have said yes.

I just want to know why a NURSE is doing the schedule for residents. Not in any world does this happen. Such a flawed way to make Casey find out. I mean, i am a resident and a nurse can’t even open or see our schedule on the computer so this whole scene was painfully annoying/irritating. Let’s just get this whole confrontation with Leyla over and done with. I just hope Lauren doesn’t go into a full relapse. Leyla won’t find it funny in any way, and that, even more than Casey losing respect for her is going to break her..Leyla is her true first love. The fall out will be disastrous for both actually. I just fear for Lauren because of her history.

This is so none of Casey’s business. All these threats and almost blackmail to Lauren (new medical director, etc) is ridiculous. Heavy handed writing. Where is Layla anyway? Sucks when these two have zero or very minor scenes.

Nooo not Lauren and Casey fighting. I also think this friendship is absolutely dead for the moment. When Casey finds out that he was fired to save Lauren’s job - he will be devastated.

I really want to live in a world where this is not as catastrophic as it seems to be, so in my mind I really hope Lauren tells Leyla herslef so that Leyla doesn't find out from someone else. If Leyla finds out from someone else it will make things even worse than they already are, and I don't believe the relationship will survive that (Leyla seems to be quite understanding but finding out from someone else is too much for a person to digest). I also hope that Max or Iggy convince Leyla not to leave NA. I hope they can make her see that even though she may have gotten in via the back door she has more than proved that she is a talented Dr and NA is actually very lucky to have her. If Leyla doesn't leave Lauren can focus on reparing her relationship with Leyla and this will hopefully prevent her from spiraling out of control and relapsing. If they go in this direction it creates an interesting character arch for Lauren as she will have to deal with facing the truth and being honest with herself and Leyla, and then the journey to recovery. For Leyla the journey will be to forgiveness. The theme for season 4 is Love Heals and I feel like this fits that perfectly. 🤞

People it’s a tv show and in the real world this will definitely not have happened. However, we all knew when she made the initial deposit last yrs season finale this is where things were headed.
