Charlie is the original singer of this song. This song wrote for so many years ago. The song writer (Mr. Guo) actual planned to put this song into Zhou Shen 1st album (7 years ago). However, this song had been eliminated from 1st album due to Charlie’s version cannot satisfied his expectation at that moment. After that, Mr. Guo was invited many famous singers to sing this song but no singer can meet his expectation. That’s the reason why this song didn’t launch until Charlie reinterpret this song again after several years.

This was the right video part I wanted you to react to. 😉 There is a video on YT that only shows this perfromance, but it doesn't have English subs. That's why I sent you the link to the whole episode of Singer 2020, which provides some additional background information.
"Ring the doorbell..." is one of my favorite Zhou Shen performances and it also shows a different side of him. He is very versatile.
It's definintely worth watching the Singer show. They always have amazing artists. The same goes for the Korean show Immortal Songs with top tier vocalists.

Thank you for the reaction! This is one of my favorite song too😊. I guess the difficulty was to create a suitable vibe for the song rather than any technical issues in singing. During the early days in his career, he might not have enough experience to handle the freaky melody and arrangements. By the time he attend Singer 2020, he was more confident and we'll equipped so he decided to give it a second try. It then turned out to be a great success.
Recently, he has explored different styles that we have never heard of. Please continue to check out his works and see how diversified he is😊

Mr.Guo, the song writer, is famous for his mistery in lyrics. Even though Chinese themself when they listen to songs writen by Mr.Guo, they still don't really know the meaning. Example like this song, some one said it feels like when you love a member in your family that much but they passed away, you realised that no one could cheer u up except yourself, another said it feels like you send a letter to your crush but they didn't read it. Mr.Guo's songs are about feelings, not meanings of the lyrics :))
