FLUFFY PANCAKES (1930 Better Homes and Garden cookbook)

"Pancakes Delicious" from 1930 Better Homes cookbook

3 cupfuls of flour

3 teaspoonfuls of baking powder

1 teaspoonful of salt

2 eggs

2 1/4 cupfuls of milk

3 tablespoonfuls of sugar

2 tablespoonfuls of melted shortening

Sift the flour, measure, then sift again with the baking powder and salt. Sepa- rate the eggs and beat the egg yolks, add to the milk, and stir this mixture into the flour mixture and add the sugar. Add the shortening, melted and cooled, and fold in the egg whites, beaten stiff. Bake on a hot griddle.

Well, Billy, I sure would have eaten your excess pancakes or at least stood at your window for the smells! 😂🙂‍↔️🤤 My absolute favorite breakfast on weekends!!! I usually also dash a bit of cinnamon & Mexican vanilla in my batter! With Maple Syrup & Butter & Berries-its a royal breakfast! YUM! 😜😁🤗🥞 🍓🫐 Enjoy & Have a great wknd!

Have you ever tried freezing your cooked pancakes? Then you can heat them up in the toaster. I put a little baking paper between each when I freeze them. Works great!

You can cut those pancakes in half if one is too much for your mom. They sure look good. If only we can smell them! ☺

Those pancakes looked delicious . I'll be honest, i could probably eat every one of them lol. I can eat a lot and they looked so good ! I guess its a good thing i wasnt there to eat with you, because there wouldnt be nothing left 😁
