Bilt Adds Alaskan Airlines! | New Hack to Bilt Status?

Bilt has added Alaskan Airlines as a Transfer Partner and for the first time allowed a partner’s credit Card to gain points on Rent Payments.

This is quite the way to offset the loss of American Airlines.

Okay. So, haven’t found anything that explicitly exempts Alaska Card spend on Rent to count toward Status. HOWEVER, Rent payments on the Alaska card will count towards Alaska Status EQMs (4000 EQMs/$10k spend) AND a Yearly Alaska Companion Pass. So you are still going to get AMAZING value with an Alaska Card.

Well well well this is an impressive development. My question is is the 3% just what built charge you, then you have to pay an additional fee when you pay the rent itself through the landlord. Also, I agree the question as to whether it counts towards spend is an important one.

I had considered this card last week, but decided against earning AA, and focus exclusively on Alaska. What a difference a few days can make! I don't pay apartment rent, but Bilt + the Biz Alaska seems like a nice combo for multipliers. How strict is Bilt on bonus earning on the 1st of the month? Can these changes clear the next day? Also, what if you have a charge on the last day of the months, and it clears on the 1st?

I believe that Bilt removed rent as a status earner with this most recent year so status can only come from non rent purchases

Im debating, im at 4/24 for Chase. Do you think its worth the 5/24 to get the personal Alaska credit card right now? that would be gauranteed at least a Silver tier for Bilt and Companion Pass(which i dont really need it, i only fly alone :p)

I hope to add the Bilt card in December or early 2025, I need another way to utilize my available credit haha. Rent should do it, I never move above 1% because of so much available credit haha. Getting points for rent will be excellent too! ✊
