John Patrick Shanley, who created the classic Moonstruck, brings his sweeping romantic vision to Ireland with Wild Mountain Thyme. The headstrong farmer Rosemary Muldoon (Emily Blunt) has her heart set on winning her neighbor Anthony Reilly’s love. The problem is Anthony (Jamie Dornan) seems to have inherited a family curse, and remains oblivious to his beautiful admirer. Stung by his father Tony Reilly's (Christopher Walken) plans to sell the family farm to his American nephew (Jon Hamm), Anthony is jolted into pursing his dreams in this comedic, moving and wildly romantic tale.

Seriously though it's so sad that all the Irish actors except Jamie Dornan died in the Famine 😢

I think Christopher Walken just gave up half ways through and went back to his own accent

The Irish equivalent of Emily in to see 1920s rural Ireland is alive and well 100 years later

This is how the French people felt when Emily in Paris came out...

I don't understand why everyone is so annoyed. I think that Christopher Walken does a spot on impression of Christopher Walken here.

I fully thought this was an SNL skit 😂

She wouldn't have seen a bit of ballet only she went to America. All we have in Ireland are farms.

If this movie was a person, it would mistakenly have the Ivory Coast flag in its Twitter handle 🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮

Here’s a thought. Why not cast some Irish actors who don’t need to think about the accent. Jamie Dornan is Irish I know but even he looks uncomfortable watching Emily Blunt and Christopher Walken do worse accents than in Far and Away or Meryl Streep in Dancing at Lughnasa. Ireland hasn’t looked more of a parody of it self since those Lucky Charms commercials.

The cast of Fair City would have done a better job.. 🤣

I would pay obscene money to see an alternate ending were Bull McCabe beats the entire cast to death with a hurl.

I can't figure out which is worse. Having foreign actors do this hammy attempt at an Irish accent or making an Irish actor also do it. Shockingly bad.

The DJ on the radio just said the leprechauns want their accent back lol

This is the worst thing done to Ireland since Cromwell.

I'm not Irish but I'm feeling some heavy second-hand embarrassment.

I think the comments sum it up really. This looks dull as dishwater, and not even the Norn Iron guy is doing a good southern accent. The accents are appalling, the stereotypes are offensive, and the complete lack of authenticity is so disappointing given how badly represented the Irish are in Hollywood. You'd know it was made by an American anyway.

At least John hamm was spared trying to put on an Irish accent 😂
