him being pissed that his son was threatened, similarly to Poseidon who was pissed because ody blinded his son (kinda fair)

thanks. also in the og odyssey Poseidon was mad because Odysseus gloated to polyphemus, by extent shaming Poseidon. and by sparing him and doing that it deepened the insult. i think it was a thing with honor at their time..

i think some of the choir "o-ddy-se-us" really sounds like "po-ly-phe-mus"

well, it's jay, so it's probably intentional to symbolize oddyseus turning into polyphemus; someone who doesn't forgive those who did him wrong.

There's a beauty in Athena realising what a mistake she had made. Where he could have been something else entirely if she allowed him to be more forgiving while still being cunning.


Still not as beautiful as Poseidon learning the lesson at the hands of Odysseus himself in this version of the story.

The horror of watching the consequences of your own actions come to life is something I will never stop enjoying the taste of.

It makes me wonder what my end will be. Old age?

Something I was thinking some days ago, theme of Odysseus resembles his 1st monster Polyphemus, he's shooting the torches as he saw with Scylla, but during Hold them down he's on the banquet hall we're Antinous is talking about their plans, this is Circe "all I did was reveal their true form"

at exactly 1:43 between the "oh" and "buying" you can slightly hear odysseus yell "penelope!.." but he is getting overpowered by the suitors voices D: (in the odyssey, odysseus goes undercover as a begger or poor person to protect penelope and just see if shes loyal which she is :))
