I’m a firefighter and I just wanna say you did an amazing job. You contained the fire and worked it back protected the homes and handled it calmly. Couldn’t have done better myself. Well done

As a volunteer firefighter myself I commend you for dedication to your neighborhood as well as neighbors you may not realize it but you bought time and in doing so who knows how many lives and homes were spared because of it very quick thinking nice job.

As a retired professional firefighter from the U.K. congratulations on a job well done. Only possible improvement would have been to aim the water at the base of the flames where the actual burning material was, not at the flames themselves, but that would be “nit-picking”. You certainly acted better than could have been expected of anyone in the same situation. I would have had a problem if I had been in charge of the fire-crew that attended. Total lack of urgency/energy and no apparent teamwork between them. You can be legitimately proud of your actions. Well done!

I am a firefighter in South Carolina and I’ve just got to say thank you for what you did. But just so you know the man with the walki talkie was our battalion fire chief at Boiling Springs, what he was doing was called a walk over. Which is performed every call we respond to so we know what truck we need to dispatch to the scene.
