To people thinking you can't finish this on the first night, obviously you can't get those mats the first night--the build shows you what you can create for shelter and a bed the first night then slowly grow it out. Seeing his finished build, you can easily visualize what the empty spaces will eventually become and have a decent starter base with enough room for essential blocks.
