The City of Arab voted to go wet with the promise of more tax revenue and that restaurants would move in to town if we went wet. 10 years later there are no new restaurants(at least none that sell alcohol). The only places selling alcohol are supermarkets, 1 bar, 2 liquor stores and 2 Mexican restaurants that were already in their locations. 1 of the realtors in town, working in the background, was pushing for us to go wet. I really hope that she didn't profit from this vote because not many others did.

USA is a wierd country. You can’t enjoy a cold beer at 18 with the boys and in a lot of states it’s even illegal for you’re parents to give you a beer. And you still have dry county’s. like why. Why can’t you be like all other country’s like Germany or Denmark.

My cousins (the Ogles) owned Clay Co. Funeral Home and I remember when Ashland Drugs was Adam's Drug Store. They were good friends of my grandparents.

Blount County was dry up until a year or so ago, only able to sell though in 3 towns I think so the county is dry but towns can vote to go wet.
