From age 11 to age 13 I was manipulated and convinced into believing that I am a lesbian by teachers and school mates all because I said that I enjoy being around women more than I enjoy being around men. Of course I wanted to be around women because I grew up with 3 women and I was scared of the only male figure in my life. What’s insane is that they were sending me to counseling about my sexuality and offering me LGBT therapist but no one dared to investigate the obvious signs of child abuse going on at the time.

When the "new" wears off, you can always come out as something different.

"What's popular is not always what's right, and what's right is not always what's popular." That was on posters around my school when I was growing up. WTF happened?!

10 years ago this kid would not have had any of those questions. All he would have wanted to know is if you had a PlayStation or not

I totally remember kids in my class fake being bi/gay, like acting they were all confused and shit and being overly dramatic about "the inner turmoil" they're going through. it was so cringey 😆 like, dude there are real gay people in the world, you are not one of them and they are not half as overzealous about it as you.

Same, I was straight. Only ever had crushes on boys, yet I thought I was bisexual 💀.
So happy I deleted tiktok, best thing I ever did

Translation-“I came out multiple times because once the attention of one identity ran out I needed another one so I could get MORE attention.”

I’ll bet that person isn’t really any of those things and is simply crying out for affection from anyone. Their parents have failed them so completely.

Well, this has been the most civil conservative vs liberal that I have seen in this channel.

First I was a cowboy, then an astronaut, then a super hero, then a dinosaur, then a cop, then a robber, then a power ranger, then a ninja, then a pirate. And then I grew up.

So basically he has no idea of what he is and expects others to know and work with what he knows 😭

Now kids have to come out as straight and everyone is shocked

Figuring out who you are is tricky, especially during adolescence. You might think you’re completely straight and then one day a person you never would have thought you’d be attracted to has your palms sweating. I try not to worry so much about labels, but whatever

I'm a Gen Z and I have the deepest shame of this generation.

I believe you hit it. For young people. It's trendy. To fit in with a someone is hugely important when you're a kid or teenager.

These are very mainstreamed and normalized thoughts, teenagers and kids will do things that make them seem “normal” at the time to be accepted

when i was in middle school, so many kids said they were bi or gay or lesbian because that was the thing you told people. im 22 now. it’s definitely just the generation, this generation has always made it their mission to be different and special and unique in any way possible, even if it meant making the dumbest decisions or saying the most untrue things

This is so true, I really thought I was bi for years, post 14 till about I’d say 17-18 when I realised that I’m not. That’s why I hate how people are putting kids on hormone blockers and normalising mutilating them like… wait until they’re adults and more able to make rational decisions. I can’t even begin to think what would have happened to me if I thought I was trans or something that required me to change myself, and then changing my mind when I was older… ahh- that’s awful. Like thinking your bi or lesbian or whatever doesn’t require you to alter your body, questioning your sexuality or identity is fine but wait until you’re old enough to make any life-changing decisions like that. Gosh.

I think it’s harmful to say that it is trendy to be not straight because it’s very much not the case for most people.. and there are still many countries where homosexuality is illegal and there aren’t laws or organisations to protect lgbtq+ people in said countries.. I just think u should acknowledge your privilege of growing up in a place where it’s okay to be gay and even trendy..

That’s so true. The only reason I thought I was bi was because I was pressured into thinking if I thought a girl had a nice appearance or personality, I liked them sexually.
