I’m not sure about all engines, but MerCruiser requires grounding the purple and white wire to disconnect the spark advance during initial timing.

What about total advance curve…??
As you have done in this video, we just need set 10’ initial timing and tight the dist nut?? Or we have to check total taming as well??

Timing mark guage on my counter rotation engine is mounted same as normal rotation engine so i have to time the counter rotation engine to retard marks instead of advance, this makes engine run good does this make sense and have you seen this setup before?
